Everything about this person says that they care for me, but when i look in there eyes i cant see anything. Its very blank and distant. Am i reading it all wrong? Is the person distancing themself emotionally?

Yes and you have a big heart and obviously a deep feeling emotionally bonding you to he or she.
You have a very strong more meaningful connection and you want he or she to feel just as you are
But I would not read into soul searching just yet give that person time space to grow into a deeper connection with you, as good things are yet to come silence is golden and opportunities for those that wait are bountiful remember that.
They may have been hurt or just do not know how to tell you that you are not the one for them
Feel blessed be their friend and guide them with your heart.

There is only 2 times I have seen that sort of expression in the eyes, once on my Grandma when she had Alzheimer's, she just wasn't there anymore..and the other was in a stranger I was passing in the street and it frightened me so much that I got away from him as fast as possible.
Remember: the eyes are the windows to the soul;
draw your own conclusions, but I would get far away myself.

Follow your instincts--They will not lead you wrong..If you are feeling distant then try talking to this person and tell them you feel like they are pulling away..Confront what what you feel. Watch how they respond and listen with your heart to their answer--good or bad--at least you will know, then you can take it from there..but first you have got to tell the person what you feeling.

Perhaps, this person has something else on his mind when he said those words. He could be having personal issues or worries but still bothers to show you concern.
