Are you plugging it into your sound card - you need a cable from your soundcard output to an input on the monitor

If your moniter has speakers on it then you can't get it to work strait from the moniter plug. what you might see is on the back of the speaker the might be a hole (or two, you want the one with the pic of maybe a sound bar) and buy a lead whitch you can get from your local computer shop, then plug it into the plug on the back of your computer(maybe green). Or I could be your sound card, have you ever had speakers plug in your computer before? If so then you might need to test them again and if they work the speaker might be broken. Hope this helps!!!

Usually the monitor does not have speakers (like a TV set). To get sound you need to identify the sound output from your PC and plug in a set of speakers. (The output is usually shown with the picture of a set of headphones)
