I have 2 teenagers and not a lot of money to spend. They both want it for Christmas. I was looking at Sandisk are these good?

don't get an ipod whatever you do, scandisk is good, and creative has some nice ones out there

I would say ipod all the way buy if not alot of money get an mp3 player they are cheaper and just as good as ipods

creative is not bad but you must understand that there is almost no accessories for creative mp3 players other than those expensive add ons from creative themselves. Functions and look wise, they are on par or even better than ipods for certain models. If you like to follow the crowd just get ipod

Sandisk is acceptable. You can also check apple's website for refurbed Shuffles, they sell for $29.00 for the 512 megabyte version.
However, you asked for the "best" not the "cheapest that still works."

for style & function it would still be an ipod. what ipod to get? it would depend on your use.
