first you have to apply for a provisional driving licence which costs £38 and then it costs anything from £15 upwards for lessons.

Then you have to take your theory test and then you take the practical test

one lessons about £20 in london and all depends on u how many lessons u need to learn to drive

check out the dvla site.
if you have not driven in the UK before, you will probably need some lessons. if you have not driven at all, you may need a fair few lessons. I think they are about £20 an hour.

Unless you come form some dodgy country, your current licence should be OK.

Don't forget - they've introduced the new theory test now, so you've got to sit an exam, too - as well as do the road test.

I THINK IT COST'S ABOUT £80 NOT 100% THOUGH OH AND I AM NOT SURE IF THERE IS ANY DIFFERENCE BY WHAT CITY YOU LIVE IN I WOULD THINK SOMETHING LIKE THIS IS PREETY STANDARD,I THINK IT'S ABOUT 2-3 WEEKS I SHOULDN'T THINK ANY LONGER!!!
