Men - am I right in thinking that tattoos and body piercing are ugly and unfeminine?

DEPENDS ON THE PIERCING! & the tattoo... I have many piercings and a tattoo. None of them hurt too much that I would say the pain isn't worth it. Though I am very skeptical about getting my nipples done, because I know they're going to hurt like hell! In all honesty, the healing is what is the worst with piercings, not the actual piercing. For instance, after I got my tongue pierced I couldn't eat or talk normally for a few days. And as far as tattoos go, the worst part is trying to sit perfectly still when your natural reaction is to flinch a little. The slightest movement is a big deal, but its nothing that should discourage you if it is something you want!

I have neither, and happy for it.

As a fighter, I saw many 'hard' people come to the club, covered all over with dam tattoos n shite.

And quite often, they weren't even the best, or even great fighters at all. Just men trying to appear hard (and unfeminine).....ya see?

My promoter was overjoyed I had none of the usual 'cool' things (shaved head, tattoos, piercings, attitude problem)

So yes, they are UGLY!

I think tattoo's and piercings on women are unfeminine. However I do believe that a simple belly piercing looks good.

Depends on the woman and the type of tattoo. Good looking ladies with a discreet tattoo in the right place can be very sexy. Overweight ugly women that are plastered with tattoos and piercings are a complete turn-off. However, try and imagine what they will look like when they're in their seventies.

I don't have any tattoos,I do have a belly button piercing that I can wear because of my washboard tummy and well my ears are pierced but that is a different thing.
I have met ALOT of people due to my work and let me tell you the majority of men find a tastefully done tattoo say on the ankle or lower back quite sexy.
Most men also think a lil belly button piercing to be quite erotic and sensual,especially when it is bikini time...trust me on that one lol :)

I'm male and I can honestly say both tattoos and body piercing usually make me shudder! all I can say is YAK!! (excuse my language but they do!). And that goes for male or female piecings.

**I think some people have peircings & tatoos purely for the shock jock value, you know they enjoy seing other peoples negative reactions to them.

**If you ask me about tribal peoples who have peircings, my reactions are still negative. But somehow for tribal people who have them it seems more natural. Dont ask me why? because its a totally irrational view though.

**No! I dont think your old fashioned or boring, your reactions to tattoo's or peircings are completely unerstandible to me, because I feel the same perhaps as you.

I don't mind it if it doesn't get carried away,and I hate the fact that at this point tattos are a fashion thing. When I got mine not everyone in the world had them yet. Now that it's the cool thing to do I'd like to have mine removed just so I don't fit in.

i think it depends on were the piercings and tattoos are and how many the girl has.... i myself only have me ears and belly button pierced and am goin for me tattoo soon but they dnt make me luk unfeminine

They are awful on men but really a turn off in women especially tatoos ,makes them look so macho yuk!!!
