Use an angle grinder with a diamond disc. they still make a heck of a lot of dust but boy are they QUICK! A 115mm will do the job and the discs cost about a tenner but a 9 inch one will be much quicker.
I have cut slabs with a chisel and hammer but it is slow and the break is not always clean.
The big trick to get nicely set slabs is to but a bed of 'hoggin' in first and flatten it down with a a plate vibrator (a 'Wacker').

You can use a hammer and chisle working you way along a bit at a time making a very small groove from one end to the other and then start at the begining again until it gives way or you can use and angle grinder which you might find easier -- failing that take the measurements to a DIY place and choose the slabs that almost work out to the size that you want and then if you have to make any alterstions it will be very little.

Use a circular saw with a masonry blade. It is easy to control to make a straight line. These blades will wear down so buy enough to do the job. It is dusty, but cheaper than renting a wet saw, and will give a deeper and straighter cut than a angle grinder. Good Luck.

First mark your slab, then put it in your boot and drive around till you find some lads working on the roads ask them if they can cut it for you with a stihl saw for the price of a pint

It is rare that a d-i-yer has the equipment and expertise to use the wet concrete saw to cut a block. There are people who do that; it's not cheap. Also keep in mind how you would move the pieces after they're cut. Cured concrete is very, very heavy.

You should apply pressure using a dressing try not to move too much. Get someone to phone an ambulance quickly, stay calm and gather as much info about the attacker for the police.
