I'm sure the name you choose will work,,, but the cat may never actually answer to it anyway? Smiles.

Odd that you ask here in home and garden, but I suggest as a fun experience you get a copy of the DVD "Cats" Clues are in that.

I'll give you examples of names I've chosen, or had suggested for my animals.

Wolf/Chow Female: Spirit,,, just because the timing was right, and she came along when I needed her

Lory Female: Tucker,,, named after a car, and a guy who wanted to realize a dream.

Albino Male Corn Snake: Slinky,,, by suggestion, and a well suited name.

Siamese Cat, Female,,, 26 toes: Hunter,,, because she is,,,an excellent one.

Do not name your kitten,,, KITTY, Baby, Muffin, Fluffy, Puffy, Muffy. The cat will think it silly...Smiles.

I definitely agree you should have her for a few weeks before you give her a name otherwise you'll be changing her name every few days until you find the right one. Then let her choose her own name. Take her outside and see what she likes the best in your yard or what her attitude is and name her after that.

Of the five choices I vote for Holly...especially with the Holidays coming up. Otherwise I would name my kitty Sophie.

Holly is nice. Remember the name you give her you will to use to call her in. Don't embarrass her and you if any one hears you.

Holly! It's been proven that people who give their pets names, like human names, treat their pets better.

If you are getting it for Christmas then how about "stockings".
I'm curious, what does getting a kitten have to do with garden and landscapes? Shouldn't this be in the pets section?
