Well...to top it all...to distinguish between male and a female...next as a means to multiply and procreate like most living things do...then as the "act"... for sensual enjoyment and gratification...and as the channel... wherein you can freely express your feelings of love ...or lust towards the opposite sex.

It varies. It's very important in my life, not so much in some people's, and others can live without it altogether.
With advances in science, it's no longer strictly necessary for procreation, so I guess now we can do it just for fun. Yippee!
