Why do the media shove irrelevant information like what pointless celebrities who make more money than most of us will ever see in our lifetimes down our throat and pretend it is as important as possibly being blown up in a nuclear exchange, or as the vile horrible things happening in Iraq at this very moment? What is wrong with the world and our entertainment industry?

i have no idea, the only thing i can think of is our celebrities have become the equilivant of american royalty ,,,, my 19 year old when she asked why i wasnt watching, said its the most important wedding since Princess D's , so i guess thats how some feel

Because celebrities are the most important thing in the world. Where would we be without K-Fed,and Brittany huh? I ask you WHERE WOULD WE BE? If it's wasn't for the failed relationships of Tom Cruise,and the politcal rants of George Clooney I would kill myself. Why can't you understand that Celebrities are the most important thing in the world? May god have mercy on your soul!

sadly there are a not enough people living in the 'real world' to understand that fame and fortune do not equate to our daily lives --- so therefore we are hounded by this over saturation of what is regarded as ' necessity ' in the fairy - land world or razzmatazz ' where most of us couldn't care less --- but we are inundated by this rubbish --- for what ?? -- third time married tom cruise ??!!!
who cares ? unfortunately it's an American thing !!! it's got to big !!! oh!!! so big !!!! just in case you miss it come back in six months when Katie's not so sure what she 's got herself;f into .

Personally,I'm just glad that stupid wedding is over so I don't have to hear about it all day long.Peoples priorities are all screwed up.I agree,there are much more important things to think about than who is marrying who and who is sleeping with who,makes me sick.Maybe they should have donated that 3 million dollars they spent on their wedding to the people who need help in America.

There s nothing wrong with it..How boring to read about Iraq and boms every single day.Talk about depressing.I love entertainment.They are relaxing and sometimes can show us beautiful dreams people have accomplished n take away your own worries.

Simply put, all people care about is staying in their comfort zone, and whatever it takes to keep them there. This is why we have so much apathy here in America. It takes effort to care about other things, and change them for the better.

the media couldnt care less whats relevant...they want to get people in front of tv sets to sell commercials...thats what does it. its unfortunate the world doesnt always care about vital issues but sometimes people need a break

They aren't important. I think it just makes us feel better about our own lives. I wouldn't trade my real life for any of their fake ones. Clogged toilet and all!
