Could be a lot of things. You need to call a service man to take a look. Can you tell if the pump is running? Maybe it something simple. You have to start somewhere. If you don't know what to look for. Call in a professional. Good Luck!

WELL, this just doesn't tell us anything!! This is like saying you have a car but no gasoline. What kind of well do you have? A hand dug well that you use a bucket and a rope to retrieve water with, a drilled well with a pump house, and an above ground pump & storage tank? Do you have a 500 ft. deep well with a pump that goes down inside the well? The best I can do based on the information supplied, is to suggest you check the breakers for the pump (if you have one) and tell you to call somebody to look at it. Good Luck!!!

That happened to us a few years ago. We had to have an additional 20 feet of pipe added to the well. The price was reasonable, and the results were excellent. Be prepared to install a water filter for the water coming into your home, if necessary. For us, increasing the depth of the well involved disturbing the underground surface, stirring up some "ickies". The water filter was cheap and effective. Hope this helps.

You really need a drilled well.
You most likely have a dug well. There are two problems with dug wells. One is that they tend to run dry. The other is that they can have e. Coli issues, because they're so close to the surface.
If you had a drilled well, you'd be getting your water from much further below, you'd be less likely to ever run dry, nor to have contamination issues. Of course, they cost more, but that's the benefit. When buying a home, I prefer to avoid dug wells and only have drilled.

Oooops! I guess you'd better call in a well man. Have him check it out, see what can be done. I just had mine cleaned and a new pump, some pipe work, fifteen hundred dollars and, I knew the guy.
