like guys like Ghandi or that midget on the Little people, big world show? how come we always vote for these rich dirtbags to lead us? Why don't we vote for people we actually believe that might care about us? how about if the person has money , lets automatically not vote for them. People with money do not represent the majority of the populus. Why do we vote for people who ca not relate to us?

its like you almost understand me. I know why we vote for the people there, but why? you get me? i don't think things are as they seem. Who are all these men? all the presidents are obviously chosen before the fact

We don't vote for midgets because it's proofen that taller people are more successful. We don't vote for holy men cause they be busy praying for the answers while we are under attack. We don't vote for good people because they don't run for office.
You think that either party would want a good person in office? How would the two major parties be able to control the policies? So they wouldn't spend their monies advertising for them.

Midgets would probably be a better politician. It seems that only people that has big money or can raise big money are the only ones that can get on the ballot one exception that comes to my mind was Senator Lamar Alexander who became Governor of Tennessee by walking through the great state of Tennessee wearing a red flannel work shirt, and ordinary work pants. I don't know how many pairs of shoes he wore out but he walked his way into the Governors mansion and served two terms as Governor. He is now one of the two U. S. Senators from the state of Tennessee and seems to be an honest Senator for a change.

The two major political parties are large and control a lot of money.In order for the people of this country to know your name and message you have to spend millions of dollars and convince them that a vote for you is best and that enough people are going to vote for you so that their vote is not wasted.This is a large country and soap box campaigns won't get you elected.
Running a government is a difficult thankless job.I personally like to have people that are experienced doing the job as do others.For this reason a Governor is usually the best candidate although a business owner could be comparable.Just anyone off the street would get used abused and pushed around they could not persuade anyone in congress to their agenda.

The reason is because the rich have the money to campaign. Hows a poor man going to afford gas to drive around, flyers to advertise, or the rent for a place to campaign? Its all about the money!
