Marriage has been found to be the best way to live and raise families, based on several thousand years of human experience. Certainly, marriage isn't perfect, because people aren't perfect. But, people have tried hundreds of different ways to live, and none have worked as well as marriage. Yes, today many marriages end in divorce. So? That merely shows that too many of us are failing to grow up, and expect instant perfection, and total gratification of all our wants and desires. We aren't willing to work at much of anything. It's today's throw away attitude. That, and we marry way too quickly, without knowing the person we marry.

It never lost it's glamour, it's alway been work and comprimise. Not many people are willing to put forth the effort, so when the going gets rough, they get going. It's a me me me society and that doesn't work in a marriage.
The furure of marriage? I think people will always get married, but you'll be hard pressed to find someone without at least one ex. It's too bad the children of these marriages have to suffer along with the parents.

Marriage is about interdependence and sharing.People are becoming more demanding than being interdependent, more individualists.Marriage ends when the romance lasts.Future is,well, its debatable.I myself have been thru a very horrible marriage, and maintained it because it was marriage, until i lost my husband in and accident.I doubt if i had allowed myself to keep the relationship alive if it hadnt been marriage.Yet,marriage brings respect and grace to the couple.

The problem with marriage today is that people do not take it seriously. They just want someone with a "hot" body who will live with them for a while and put some spice in their life. If people would stick to God's basics and truly love their partner, today's culture wouldn't be in such a mess.

Be careful, cause marriage is hardly about glamour. e single life is much more glamorous, don't you know that? It's just that marriage creates a strong bond that is when it good it's great. But be very careful selecting your mate.

I do think people should live together before marriage and I think there should be more open relationships in marriage to add spice.Might lower the divorce rate.

Perhaps people must spend more time living with one another prior to marriage, or seek marriage counseling from a licensed mental health profession.

People just don't understand the benefits of marriage. If they understood them, then they would understand why homosexuals want to have that right to do so.
