and even if you beleive uncontested, without a doubt, EVERY word of the bible conciously---

the ancient sea scrolls....many of them, are missing.....the bible is a compilation of "apocrypha" of different writtings....most of it written way afte jesus's death...Not even by those who witnessed jesus himself!!!!

so how can you be certain in the message of the bible, when its inherently incomplete??

One of the apostles may have had a message (given to him by Jesus), which was similar to "doubt and the humility of not knowing God"

and that the words of God is inside us, not in a book, that the bible was only a "guide", a human written book.....but since such message was not compiled into the bible because the chuch wanted to gain pure "authoritarian" control at the time...it was scripted out, and you do not see it today...what then? what if there was a message?

How can you rule such a possibility?

This is why keeping an open mind, and questioning to get the answers from the voice of God inside you...is the path to knowing the truth. Doubting, is a healthy dose...

and know that certainty is only reserved for the God

for to claim absolute certainty is blasphemous....yes, the bible is the true message of God...but could it be incomplete?

The church is inherently run by humans...who are flawed and have the original sin...

the church in the middle ages changed many things of the bible...thus, changing the "original message of God"...

so, how can you trust that the message was not altered or incomplete?

how can you be completely certain that MAN, handling the message of God, did not tamper with it? (I am not even talking about da vinci code..I am talking about slight details here that would have made a difference)...

yea. you can have "faith" in God...this makes perfect sense...

but how can you have "faith" in someone, a human, handling the most sacred message?

so therefore, how can you be certain, that the bible, as it stands today, is the message of GOD, instead of the message of man/God...

a convoluted hybrid due to all the years?

It doesn't make sense to "trust" or have faith in human holding of the message, who are inherently sinful--

having faith in that, is similar to having faith

in a bank or a salesmen not robbing you of your money....

its people---you are dealing with here...

so how can you appropriately call, the bible, the word of God? and be absolutely certain about it...

if you are not certain of how Humans, who are seperate from the concept of faith, might have manipulated it through history?

this is why certainty is only known to God, and to claim certainty is arrogance...

you cannot know for certain the message of God was not changed...Therefore, doubt, is the only way to truely beleive in God, because you understand that certainty and udnerstanding God is beyong your abilities...so you accept...in humility, that you cannot know...so you doubt in order to understand...and therefore beleiving in God.

I will try to answer your primary question with an example.

The bible consists of the old testament and the new testament. If you are a christian, your holy book is then both the old and the new testament.
But the old testament was gathered long before Jesus was born and is also the holy book of the Jews.
The old testament by itself is incomplete for the Christians. It was "completed" with the compilation of writings coming from the revelation of Jesus.
So for a christian the old testament by itself is not complete. It may sound offensive to a Jew but it is a certainty to a christian.
In the same way we have to admit that a revelation 2000 years old - the new testament - can be "completed" since the learning capacity of mankind is unlimited and from the sorry state of affairs in the world his needs are much more than the solutions that old religions offer.

So yes it is incomplete in this sense.

The Bible is very important. It is a “road map” for all to overcome the human condition, and has everything in it necessary to enlighten human thought to produce change in the heart. The spiritual truths in the Bible have not been altered by mankind, because they are spiritual in nature and fact, and are never subject to change. One must dig below the literal surface of the writings to find the spiritual meaning or rule that is given by text written or recorded by the human hand. In the end, it is of small importance if a part of the book were altered by improper recording, etc., because the book still contains everything man needs to change his nature from mortal to immortal, and to overcome this present world. There is no other “road map” (life map) like it.

Well said. I believe the Catholic church and king constantine deleted much & left out books when they compiled the first bible in 365AD. "A book never created a mind". All learning comes from within your own heart. Read romans 1-19/20. all there is to know of God has been revealed to ALL things made of God, even unto the Godhead. We just awake to what is already there. "out of the blue it came to me",

Faith in God is a gift from him and you believe in him because he is in your heart. He will guide you if u allow him. Scriptures are important but it is not a sin not to understand or even know everything that is written so I would not be concerned if some of the scriptures are incomplete. Belief in God is foremost to everything. If God thinks its important that all the scriptures were to be found dont you think he has power to have someone find the missing ones..??

The bible, like all other religious doctrines, is not the true message of anything. It is the attempt by power mongers to control your beliefs.

If you let other people tell you what to believe, you'll never find anything for yourself - including a belief in something worth believing.
