That it deson't mtaetr in waht order you put the lteters of a wrod, as lnog as the fisrt and last are in thier corerct poitsoin?

And old one but it always impresses me.

Actually I did not know that, I can`t think why , perhaps it is because at school spelling mistakes were quickly corrected by the teachers, so I never had the chance to decipher incorrect ones.Thanks for that, I shall now amaze my friends and family with my new spelling.

Yes,i did know that,but would it stand in an English spelling examination though-that is the question! As you can see,i am using the correct spelling for the words i have used-this is because it is so ingrained in me from my schooling in the 1950s/1960s,i find it very difficult to spell otherwise,unless of course i am texting some one on a mobile phone...wer tx spk is da norm 2sav da letrs.
