Easy off works good in the oven. This is what I do to clean the oven racks ,which can be hard if you scrub them. I take two large trash bags and put one inside the other(like a double bag) and dump an entire bottle of ammonia in it. I place the racks inside the bags and tie the bags shut. I put it all outside on a flat surface. The ground works good as long as it is flat and let it sit in the sun all day. Take them out and hose them off and they are as good as new.

Get yourself some rubber gloves, safety glasses and some newspaper. Spread the papers around the stove, cover everything you don't want messed up. Spray the oven with "Easy-Off" being careful, it's very acidic and burns the skin quite easily. Of course cover your eyes.
Let this on for awhile, test it, takes about an hour, really smells bad, will choke you, careful if you have asthma.
Wash off with warm water and soap, redo if needed, wear you gloves.

Easy-Off Oven Cleaner. If you follow the instructions, it works great. It's never easy or fun, but Easy-Off has always worked for me.

Easy Off fume-free max. It's what was used when I worked in a supermarket that make it own food of cooked salads (ie: potato and macaroni) and you just shake.. spray it on... let it sit for as long as you want/need and just wipe it off and repeat if needed. I was amazed at how well it worked! I had to get it for myself and use it on all my dirty pans and cooked on stuff.
