I dunno,
- Too stoned to find the front door?
- Lost your maps and compass?
- Currently live in North Korea, Iran or mainland China?
- Inmate in a federal institution?
- Mother won't let you out after 8:30?
- Welfare check all used up on quaaludes?
- Doctor won't permit you to operate vehicle while on the Prozac?
there are just so very many possibilities.................

Why would you want to? If you are a US citizen and have identification, you can cross at any check point along the Mexican border.
Check with US immigration before you go, you may be required to have a passport to get back into the US.
