In a small town (11,000) outside Chicago a book is teaching the gay life to children between the ages of 4to 6. It is about 2 male penguins who find a egg & hatch it. First of all the males did not lay the egg. The liberian said that all books should be read by any age group even if they are to young to undrestand. So do we say it is all right to teach 4 year olds that you can have a female daddy or a male mommy? cant we wait a little until they can make up their own minds?

i think they're too young to learn what is gay or not....or simply called sexuality....but somehow..... media is influencing their lives even that age.. i think if the parents could not explain it well to their kids..... the schools has to do something about it.....

Public schools are funded by the money that taxpayers of all sexual orientations give to the government.
If you do not want your child to go to public school, then let your vote reflect that. There are parties out there which would make it easier for you to send your child to private school. You also have the option in many areas to homeschool.
Here is some good advice for everyone: if you do not think that this wolrd as it currently is, is a good place for children, then why do you bring children into it? You could work for change before you have kids. You could make the commitment to remain childless as long as the world is so bad.
To bring children into a world that you think is such a terrible place for them is just selfish. You can argue that the bible says to 'be fruitful and multiply', but that is the old testament. If you read the new teatament, you will find a slightly different philosophy.

Could it be that the book is actually teaching fact?
Male penguins can and do "mate" - bond for life.
For all of you out there who say male couples are against God, perhaps you ought to consider this fact.
A small amount of research will prove it (not just penguins either) - try google or your local library under the zoological section.
Excerpt from referenced website:
"Wendell and Cass, two penguins at the New York Aquarium in Coney Island, Brooklyn, live in a soap opera world of seduction and intrigue. Among the 22 male and 10 female African black-footed penguins in the aquarium's exhibit, tales of love, lust and betrayal are the norm. These birds mate for life. But given the disproportionate male-female ratio at the aquarium, some of the females flirt profusely and dump their partners for single males with better nests.
Wendell and Cass, however, take no part in these cunning schemes. They have been completely devoted to each other for the last eight years. In fact, neither one of them has ever been with anyone else, says their keeper, Stephanie Mitchell.
But the partnership of Wendell and Cass adds drama in another way. They're both male. That is to say, they're gay penguins.
This is not unusual. "There are a lot of animals that have same-sex relations, it's just that people don't know about it," Mitchell said. "I mean, Joe Schmoe on the street is not someone who's read all sorts of biology books."
One particular book is helpful in this case. Bruce Bagemihl's "Biological Exuberance," published in 1999, documents homosexual behavior in more than 450 animal species. The list includes grizzly bears, gorillas, flamingos, owls and even several species of salmon.
"The world is, indeed, teeming with homosexual, bisexual and transgendered creatures of every stripe and feather," Bagemihl writes in the first page of his book. "From the Southeastern Blueberry Bee of the United States to more than 130 different bird species worldwide, the 'birds and the bees,' literally, are queer."

What makes you think the penguins are gay? Have you seen 3 men and a baby? I think you are way overreacting.

i dont think its about making up their minds, its about educating them to how their world is. because you present something in an educational sense,, doesnt mean your encouraging it or are against it. years ago "family" was introduced to young children, the different forms/types that families come in,,,, single parent/two parent/raised by grandparent etc,,,,, this is just an addition to that.
