They wouldn't be stereotypes if they weren't true about a majority of a group. That's how stereotypes come about.Almost everyone in a particular group does it.I'm Polish, but I'm not stupid.I'm French Canadian, but I'm not snooty or a surender monkey, and I'm Italian but sometimes I am loud and I do have greasy hair.I really don't care if someone makes a comment about it.In fact I joke about it.I personally blame it on everyone in America wanting to claim victim status, and because everyone is too touchy feely these days.Don't say that or I'll sue you! What ever...What does everyone else think?

Have you ever been the victim of stereotypical judgement?
Other then what you term as playful or harmless. The stereo type
is a reference point from where you are judged and sometimes no additional thougts go beyond the "label"> Even if a person is evaluated for whatever purpose whether it's in conversation, job performance or ability to make sound decisions, if the stereo type is included and you are nothing like the stereotype, then all perception of you whatsoever is already invalid, Just an example: in school I always heard that the kids of color , were better in sports, better singers and better dancers then kids with other backgrounds. Is that always true true sometimes or not at all?I doubt M Jordan , was born knowing how to be a champion Basket ball player, I dont care how tall he is, for every basket mike makes , he missed many many more, Hard work..If you didn't know michael and you saw this very tall, fit guy walk into your physics class and he wore a sports jersy, would you just assume he is on the team. whereas he may really be a scientist or something etc etc.
If you were driving past a trailer park and you saw a heavy, pale white woman stepping out of her trailer. Whats the first things that come to mind........get my drift?

It comes from the liberal MSM (important flow media), specific pastime communities, and liberal politicians. Many are hardworking, many are actually not. Many come to avail themselves of the freebies that are surpassed out by utilising our liberal politicians. you do no longer pay attention that from the MSM as that must be counter to their reason. All you pay attention from MSM is: they are hardworking, only in seek of a extra suitable existence They do the roles human beings won't do. They thoroughly downplay the reality that unlawful immigrants value extra suitable than they make a contribution. right it extremely is an occasion of how the MSM can impression your perceptions. Pitbulls are propose vicious animals. genuinely all and sundry is usual with that. they are able to't inform you the place they heard it even if it extremely is a accepted actuality....incorrect. actuality: Pit bulls are certainly very human beings friendly. Pitbulls interior the early area of the 20 th century have been seen Americas dogs. the emblem for RCA is a pitbull sitting in front of a Victrola. The mascot for Buster Brown footwear is a pitbull Petey from "Little Rascals" is a pitbull. the main exceptionally embellished dogs in American military historical past substitute right into a pitbull. the element is the MSM can impression our thought by utilising intently picking what they print and don't print. I do not agree that treating each other with less respect is going to make things any better. Instead if we stopped dividing the human race into "us vs. them" classifications, and we treated all individuals with respect for our merits we would be better off. I personally think that grouping people together with generalizations or stereotypes is an avoidance of our responsibility to treat each other as human beings. That is why racisim or bigotry is so distasteful, because it pre-judges based on the shallowest differences instead of the greatest commonality. In my opinion we should always make the effort to evaluate each individual as completely as we would if we had as much respect for each other as we do for ourselves.

Because people don't like to be judged on inaccurate information. Whether it may be true for some or not is beside the point. An individual should be judged on an individual basis, based on the persons merits or lack of, not PRE-judged based on their gender, skin color, nationality, disability or otherwise.

Some men are sick to death of being seen as players, only out for sex, disinterested, lazy or callous simply because they're men. While this may be true for some men, it's also true for some women.

Some women are sick to death of being portrayed as gold diggers, users, high maintanance manipulators, etc. While this may be true for some, it's also true for some men.

I really don't find it that hard a concept to understand. If it doesn't bother you to be stereotyped, wonderful. But I would expect the reasons behind why it does bother others would be clear and understood.

Look, I don't think stereotypes are created out of thin air. I think it's possible that all nationalities have tendencies that aren't carved in stone. I'm Irish-American and I love to drink beer. I'm sure that there are plenty of Irish that don't like to drink (well, maybe not plenty) but there are tendencies. Hey, if anyone wants to joke about drunken Irishmen I won't be offended. Just don't say anything about our little *****.

People are identified as a whole group depending on their differnces.
Usually stereotypes are about the bad part of the group or things that they are not proud of.
Being stereotyped isn't good because you end up feeling as if what the person has said is within you even though it is not.
When you stereotype someone you are labeling them as to what you think and in my opinion it is wrong. You can't just judge without analysing.
Its wrong. so wrong.

So, according to your definition of stereotyping - Polish people are stupid, Canadians are snooty and Italians are loud and greasy. And you embrace these stereotypes. Well, good for you. Maybe it me but they sound like insults.

People are just wimps these days, man. Overly sensitive. They have this weird idea that censoring what people can say and think will make all the problems of the world go away. It'll be great! We'll be surrounded by butterflies and rainbows and cute little puppies and eternal sunshine if we just stop being so mean!

Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. What i can say is that we should not judge because we are not perfect ourselves. People get worked up because it is bad taste to stereotype.
