What does error "error: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: stat" mean?

Am running an applet in IE and I get this error msg.

The most likely problem is that the applet was written using an API with methods that don't exist in the JVM class API being used by IE. Update your browser Java Plugin to the latest and then try.
