(I only get 8mpg in my SUV so not sure if the damage by driving that far is worse than not recycling)

what are you ? stupid ? just throw the stuff over in your neighbor's yard. (at night). don't waste good gas for the dump. i know how expensive those suv's can be on gas. i drive a dump truck everywhere i go. 5.5 mpg. and that's with that stinking ol' diesel.

I'm guessing you should recycle...you can separate all recycable items in different bags, and since you're concerned about your car, you can go to the recycling center once or twice a month. Better to save our world than live in a world full of garbage...or you can drive a different car...maybe...

It's difficult to imagine a concerned environmentalist driving a SUV. Attach a cart on your bike and pedal on over.

see if you can get a few ppl in your neighbor hood in on the same cause and see if one person would be will to pick up all stuff and take it in and there for you would not have too maybe you could make a flyer's and pass it out to all those in the neighbor hood and see from there maybe you are not the only one concerned !!!!!
it would be worth looking in too dose your SUV one of them than can switch to the new fuel made from corn look in to it check out go green!!!
