A molecule is said to be polar when the atoms are different in its electronegativity and its magnitude does not cancel off each other. Water itself is made up of Oxygen & Hydrogen atom. The electronegativity of o2 and h2 is the same. Thus, there are no dipole movement in the oxygen-hydrogen bond. However, the magnitude of the 2 hydrogen atom that is attached on the oxygen bond is in a 45 degrees manner. Thus, when the magnitude of the whole molecule is considered, the molecule is deemed to be polar.

The molecule is V-shaped, and the oxygen atom has a partial negative charge, because it is more electronegative than the two H atoms. This pulls electrons away from the H atoms, making them partially positive. But it is the V-shape, as well as these partial charges, which makes water polar.

In a water molecule, There are two hydrogen and one oxygen molecule. As we exoect it is not a linear molecule, its a bent shaped molecule. Due to the bent shape the higher electronegative oxygen pulls two hydrogen and give the net polarity due to the bent shape. Its covalent becaude oxygen and hydrogen are diaatomic in nature. They share the valence electrons to each other to attain stability.

in water a covalent bond is formed between oxygen and hydrogen bt oxygen being more electronegetive the shared pair is more 2wards oxygen therefore a partial negetive charge is developed on oxygen and a partial possetive on hydrogen there fore the cumpound is polar on the whole

Water is H2O(2 is suffix to H)
It is stable and total valency of H and O are matched exactly.
co in this case connotes same Co-operative.
Polar because slight polarity.
