Tell the manager that you forgot and you are sorry. Shouldn't be a big thing.

I forgot a couple of times, not bad since I worked there for 12 1/2 years, all I did was tell my supervisor the next day and he logged me out for the day that I forgot. They had access to the time keeping program and could do it from their desks.
If your company is on an actual 'time clock' then they should just write your time out in the proper space, initial it, then go on like normal. It shouldn't be a major malfunction with them as long as it doesn't happen all the time.

The black-clad Time Clock police came and jerked me out of a warm bed and took me back to the clock.
Um, go to your manager and apologetically explain what happened. It's a lot better if it comes from you.

Yes. The first time I did it, I was verbally counseled not to do it again. The second time I dd it, I was given a write up. Needless to say, there has not been a third time!
