Hyperhidrosis
Body temperature is maintained constant by the Sympathetic Nervous System, which controls the optimal temperature, through generating more or less sweat. When the system producess an excess of sweat , the condition is refert to as hyperhidrosis . Around 1 in every 100 people suffer from milder or aggravated forms of hyperhidrosis and their sweat production is well above the regular necessary levels. While the medical risks presented by hyperhidrosis are very low, this condition tends to interfere with social interactions and ultimately has negative psychological effects.
Excesive Sweat Triggers
There are not clearly identified triggers for hyperhidrosis , but it sees that outside stimuli do play an important role in this process. The condition appears in childhood and it cn follow a person throughout their teens and in their adult life. Stress is one of the factors that has been known to aggravate this condition and push the sympathetic system to create more sweat. Anxiety and outside pressure may also trigger the negative aspects of this medical condition. One of the most unpleasant forms of excesive sweat is that of facial hyperhidrosis.
Other forms of manifestation of Hyperhidrosis
There are other areas of the body where hyperhidrosis appears – the hands, the feet, the back area, the underarms, the face. Palmar hyperhidrosis and pedal hyperhidrosis are among the most widespread forms of this condition. Facial excessive sweat is also well spread, and it can sometimes affect the neck region and the ears and forehead. There are many factors that can trigger facial hyperhidrosis , such as emotional distress or outside temperature. Sweaty armpits are another common form of finding hyperhidorsis. The annoying negative effects of axillary hyperhidrosis are mostly troublesome in society and in working environments.
Hyperhidrosis Treatment Types
Different approaches are available for treating hyperhidrosis. Here are some of the most common and successful of them: antiperspirants, Ionotophoresis, Sympathectomy Treatment, hyperhidrosis medication etc.
Antiperspirants for palmar hyperhidrosis treatment
Other excessive sweat antiperspirant medications are available, though most are not as effective as Drysol. Most of the antiperspirants such as Xertac AC or Maxim are relatively successful, but they may also cause skin problems. The use of hyperhidrosis antiperspirants products works best when treating palmar hyperhidrosis, also known as excessive palm sweat, when the user applies the treatment and then shields his or her hands by using rubber gloves. The protective features of the gloves ensure that the antiperspirant is not rubbed off and it can combat hyperhidrosis in a controlled environment. Excessive sweating treatments are also offered by various products, such as Mitchum Clear Gel Sport, Arms Up, Whit Wetless, Probanthine, and Propranolol SR. In many cases, a person's response to the hyperhidrosis antiperspirants mentioned above may be completely different than expected and it is often a trial and error process when it comes to finding the right excessive sweat treatment for your particular condition.
Ionotophoresis Treatment for Hyperhidrosis
When undergoing Ionotophoresis treatement the patient's regions affected by hyperhidrosis are placed under water and then targeted by electrical currents The process of Ionotophoresis interrupts the activity of the sweat glands, reducing the amount of sweat they produce. It works by sending targeted electrical impulses to the sympathetic nerves that cause the excessive sweat production. The effciciency of the treatment is good, when compared to other methods, but the healing process is lengthy. Ionotophoresis treatments are common with medium cases of excessive sweating
Reducing Hyperhidrosis
Ionotophoresis is excellent for treating milder cases of hyperhidrosis. It has good efects on palmar hyperhidrosis and pedal excessive sweating , but the treatment is time consuming. There is no definite cure with this process and it has to be reapeated over and over in order to keep the results constant. Every person undergoing Ionotophoresis treatment can decide whether this is an acceptable treatment form for them and balance the positive results with the time that the process takes to complete. The slower effects obtained with Ionotophoresis Treatments are compensated, some say, by the less problematic side effects.

Hi there,
Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition in which a person sweats excessively and unpredictably. People with hyperhidrosis may sweat even when the temperature is cool or when they are at rest. Sweating helps the body stay cool. In most cases, it is perfectly natural. People sweat more in warm temperatures, when they exercise, or in response to situations that make them nervous, angry, embarrassed, or afraid.

Excessive sweating occurs without such triggers. Persons with hyperhidrosis appear to have overactive sweat glands. The uncontrollable sweating can lead to significant discomfort, both physical and emotional. When excessive sweating affects the hands, feet, and armpits, it is called primary or focal hyperhidrosis. In most cases, no cause can be found. It seems to run in families.
If the sweating occurs as a result of another medical condition, it is called secondary hyperhidrosis. The sweating may be all over the body or it may be in one area.
In both cases you'll find on this site some good tips to solve
your problem:

The reason for excessive sweating in hands and feet is an inherent inability of a human being to match up with its environment, feeling out of sync or out of place is a common trait displayed by such people. Do you?
If so, then try some relaxation techniques and breathing exercises so that you start feeling comfortable in your skin no matter where you are, self centering is an equally important remedy, when your outside environment can exert too much pressure on you or if you try to hard to control your external environment because you seeming cant do that within.
So when you start feeling uncomfortable with your environment your body will start sweating to release excess nervous energy of your system.
Give yourself enough time and space to feel comfortable with yourself. Make peace with your life and who you are within. Self acceptance is the best and lasting remedy for this. As always every disease only reflects an inherent dis-ease.
Take care

Most cases of excess sweating are caused by exaggerated physiologic responses or functional variations of no pathologic consequence. Hyperhidrosis most commonly involves the palms, soles, or axillae (arm pits). This may be a result of an increase in impulses from the central nervous system, or it may reflect underlying problems with the sweat glands. A relation to emotional stress is often noted, and the problem becomes disabling if it interferes with work or social interactions. Axillary hyperhidrosis is less common than palmar or plantar hyperhidrosis and makes frequent clothing changes necessary. The most common cause of localized hyperhidrosis is the normal physiologic response to everyday stress. Menopause is the leading cause of generalized sweats. Of the pathologic causes, fever is the most common. Night sweats raise the possibility of underlying infectious disease and malignancy. Central neurologic injury from stroke or tumour may produce hyperhidrosis. Peripheral neuropathy involving the autonomic nerves is associated with excess sweating, as are such medical conditions as thyrotoxicosis and, uncommonly, phaeochromocytoma. Parkinson's disease may lead to increases in both sweating and sebaceous gland activity. Various drugs, such as antipyretics, insulin, meperidine, emetics, alcohol, and pilocarpine, may induce sweating.

"Palmar Hyperhidrosis:
Sweaty palms is a condition referred to as palmar hyperhidrosis. This medical condition is caused by hyperactive sympathetic nervous activity over sweat glands of the hands. Medical treatment typically consists of prescription medication, which only reduces sweating temporarily, and is not normally effective in severe cases of this condition. The only effective treatment for patients with server palmar hyperhidrosis is a surgical procedure called thoracoscopic sympathectomy. This procedure can now be performed safely as an outpatient, same day basis"

In the experience of the author, many patients, disappointed by the treatment offered by their doctors, have tried different methods of alternative therapy including homoeopathy, massage, acupuncture and phytotherapeutic drugs, in almost all cases without noticeable improvement."

If you ask me, it sounds like the cure is worse than the disease!
I would just live with it.
Hope this helps!

Sepolavi has right advise but I have extreme sweat under the arms & I choose the herbal solutions: what works for me is Cinnamon in Cocoa. Or Dandelion tea with Cinnamon. Or ginkcobiloba with Cinnamon. My advise don't bother with Acupunture method unless it's a real extreme problem!Oh my sister uses baking soda to control sweating but I don't know how she uses it! I also don't know how baking soda would work! She swears by it though!
