My guess is that it is cheaper to manufacture and assemble a square box.

All the above answers make sense, but how bout its easier to get the pizza out of a square box than a round one.

well if pizzas boxes was round than pizza would be square that why round pizza round and square box's

Not all pizzas are round, some are square.
The boxes are easier to manufacture square.
