I'm training to be a dental assistant and was surprised at the amount of information that I needed to learn. I needed to learn the everything that the doctor needs to learn just not in as much depth. We are assistants to doctors, their right hand if we are good at our job. Chemistry is VERY important because to be a nurse you must study pharmacology, drugs and there contra indications and to know that well you need the basics. Hence the chemistry.
