For example, User A accesses Website A but the computer administrator sets it in such a way that User A would be automatically diverted to Website B and cannot access Website A.

This would be done through the hosts file. Search for a file called hosts on your computer. Open it with Wordpad - it has instructions and examples inside the file on how to modify it.

You will need to know the IP address of the website you wish to divert to. This can be found by clicking start => run and typing in 'cmd' in the new black window, type 'ping www.example.com' with example being the site you wish to divert to. The ping will tell you the IP address. (Unless it is virtually hosted then you have a problem)

The admin has set up a redirect in the webserver for website A, to go to website B instead. This is a webserver configuration option.

I do that too. SOmetimes I don't know something and I think that I must remember that to later ask on Yahoo Answers. Unfortunately most of the time I am forgeting it before I get home
