it may be that the DVD are for different regions, you find that your drive is set to a single region and not multi.
it is possible to change the region of a drive, but this will only allow your drive to change from 1 region to another, the other catch is that you only get 4 goes after that it will be whatever the last region was.

well, as you may know , for the DVDs , your DVD drive change the REGION to shoose the correct one. we have 6 REGIONs for DVDs .sometimes you may have a DVD movie in REGION 3 9for example) and your last seen DVD was in REGION 1 . your DVD driver will change the REGION to set it on the proper REGION. but the driver can just change it's region 6 times !
I suggest you to use PowerDVD to play your DVDs and if it was not ok , use anydvd to change the REGION softwarically.
