Why not give the NHS 50 or 60 million and share whats left with Iraq?

because they are committed to helping Iraq regardless of all the bad media they get for it,can't for the life of me remember Iraq being such a wonderful place to live while Saddam Hussein and his army of henchmen were in charge.

I have not heard about this in any detail but this goverment are probably providing compensation for what really is an illegal war, never mind the NHS or this parenting thingy or new roads or affordable houses give the money to another country sums up blair and the rest of the crew, talk about making the blood boil!

Typical New Labour / Socialist attitude to Money and Finances , they never did or ever will have a clue regarding Fiscal Policies , It has always been the same , Remember the Dennis Healey Saga ? Spend it , Spend it , Tax Tax Tax , Envy , Greed and the ultimate death of the Golden Goose , It will never ever change the Socialist,s have an Incurable Disease which ultimately causes the British taxpayer to suffer Penal Taxation for Decades .

Thats a good idea but the Labour Party want to appear to be helping after the b**lls up of involving the UK in Iraq in the first place so domestic issues have a very low priority

Because his old mate Tony Blair helped Mr Bush wreck Iraq, now we have to face-up to paying our share of the bill. The PM should have been trying to put his own country in order, instead of meddling in the affairs of another country and causing a disaster in the process. You know the old saying: 'Charity beings at home'!

and i'm even from Iraq. I agree though, he should sort out this country's NHS debt then give whatever he wants to Iraq.

This money will disappear up the wazoo. If you want to get your hands on it before the Iraqis do, I would recommend starting some sort of consultancy and then bid for the contracts. This money is basically going to have no effect whatsoever, but it will be much appreciated by the smarmy boys from Oxbridge who run the consultancies.

Vote em out next time. Vote in the BNP and guaranteed we would not get involved in anything like Iraq again and we would have a good NHS for the British.

We have gone in to Iraq and destroyed many homes and families, their health service is probably more needing than ours, if you also take into account everything else that is costing money (buildings, policing etc) then 100 million doesnt seem so much does it?

when i read that story, i wondered exactly the same thing! then i just concluded that it was a political stunt, that no money will go there cos the conditions are too high and can't be met by iraqis. blair did the same thing today with pakistan! :)
politicians!!!!
i now wonder how many people have been sucked in by it all.
