News reports say that the Israelis rejected a peace proposal from the Europeans, regarding the Israeli Palestinian conflict.

What do you think that the Israeli government wants out of all thier militaristic approaches? Is the Israeli government an extremist organization?

Look at the link below.

bionicRod, yes Al Jazeera is an extremely baised news agency, just like Fox News; just that they are the "other" way around. I don't think that its reasonable to look at the conflict in a span of more than 2000 years. It doesn't conclude much, since during those days, things were very different. Jews, Christians and Muslims lived in peace before the Zionists extremists arrived. The whole mess started in the after math of WW2. The theory of dividing a land into religious or political sects don't work. Look at parts of the world such as South East Asia, we see stability. On the other hand, see the Koreas, and we see the communist North and Capitalist South. America's hegmony and some stupid decisions by the Allied victors are partly to blame here.

As long as there is Israel and Palestine, they will be fighting. Neither is right as far as I can see, this conflict goes back thousands of years. To be fair, look at your source; Al Jazeera saying negative things about israel is about as shocking as Fox News ripping on democrats.

Hey, guy. This is not a propaganda site, although you wouldn't know it from the comments. I think your link is in violation, but I will let it pass in the interests of free speech.

I think they want to be left alone in peace. I am no fan of the Israelis & their extreme attitudes. They are a pretty bigoted bunch. Of course, that is true on your side too, isn't it.On the other hand, seems like every time they do something to show good faith, some Arab army or militia throws it back in their face. This is not just the Palestinian homeland you guys are fighting over. And if I lived in a country that had been under constant attack for close to 60 years by all of my neighbors, I think I would be a little urinated off too. I don't give a damn who owned what in 67, 48, the 30s, a thousand years ago. My home was part of another country 150 years ago. They lost. Today is all that is real.
so get out of the past & live in today, ALL of you.

Frankly, I feel more for the Palestanian Christians who are persecuted by both sides. Not just in Palestine & Israel, but the ones driven to Lebanon also..

I have a novel idea. Get rid of all religions in the world who believe they are the chosen people. Then all we would have to fight about is money.

OMG. Further justification & propaganda. USA & Western Europe wouldn't take the Jews. Frankly, they should have been given Germany in restitution. Britain had misruled the whole region for over a hundred years. You"re right about that. Europe & the US also did their best to leave the Jewish State defenseless. Every Arab neighbor attacked, and got whipped. The Jews did not attack, your side did. So get off the soapbox of saying you are right & everyone else is wrong. Everyone will be wrong till both sides want peace.

Well Israel says it wants peace but the moment someone wants to help with the peace talks they totally reject it...Hamas says it's ready to negotiate, they even offered Israel a 10 years truce...but again Israel rejected it...As far as I see not Hamas is an impediment in the peace talks, but Israel is...

As long as there's an Arab barbarian alive who's willing and eager to blow up school busses full of Israeli children. the Israeli's will continue their defensive milatarism.

It seems to me that everyone in the middle east is nuts. We should just drop plane loads of prozac, then when everyone is calm, try to work things out.
