Also how long do all the papers relating to the Probate have to be kept? Can everything be thrown away once Probate has been given? So much junk!!!!!!

The general advice is to keep all papers for 10-12 years after the estate has been wound up. Let's hope you have a loft or a garage! I think the limitation period for bringing proceedings to contest a will is two years, but I haven't been able to pin it down.

I believe that once probate is granted thats it unless you find another will When my Father in Law died we all went to the probate office and were asked were we all happy with the will we said yes they granted probate we fulfilled his wishes and kept a copy each of the probate letter
