Breastmilk is a sufficient source of nutrients for your newbourn, infact it is highly nutricious and rich in vitamins. Breastmilk is the best thing for you baby. Your baby has a very delicate digestive system and it is recommended that you don't introduce anything to your baby for at least 4 weeks including panadole, gripe water, etc..
your breastmilk is fine if you think your baby is laking in nutrients please consult your family doctor but apart from that no I don't think you should feed your baby additional nutrients.
Just on another quick note it is recommended that you don't introduce solids to your infant until they are 6 months of age, that is when you start weening and aim to have baby off the breast by 12 months. Thats not as easy as it sounds though I just got my 20 month old off the boob!!!!!

Its not necessary to feed you baby any other than breastmilk for the first 6 months of his or her life. At 4 months you may want to wean her a bit on solids. At 2 weeks your baby is far to young for anything other than breast milk or powered milk.

If the mother isn't eating the proper foods and the baby is not getting the proper nutrition the peditrician would more than likely have the mother supplement her breastmilk with formula. Contrary to what some may think breastmilk is NOT always the healthiest for a baby...

The only thing that breast milk does not provide is Vitamin D which you can buy at any pharmacy. On the box I have (I bought the Life brand) it says : Vitamin D drops, dietary supplement essential for breast-fed infants. Vitamin D is a factor in the normal development of bones and teeth especially in infancy and childhood. I would not have known this if my doctor wouldn't have mentioned it. I have to give her 1.0ml every day until she gets to drink regular milk...and she loves it. My daughter is 11 weeks old.

No, babies don't need anything other than breastmilk for at least 6 months. They also do not need vitamin supplements in nearly every situation.

No. a mother's breast milk contains all the nutrients that a baby of that age needs. It doesn't even need water.it is recommended that you give only breast milk for a period of 4-6 months.
The breast is best.

No! Babies should not receive anything other breastmilk (or formula) until they are at least four months old.
