I am not talking about being a doctor or the CEO of a company but what if i am a regular engineer working on a fixed salary and that i want to make some extra cash

Not all Doc's are "rich", comfortable, and maybe a bit more, but not "rich"... It's the lawyers, lol, half the knowledge of any doc, and double the money, can't beat it, eh? lol....
So...cash? Why so needy? extra cash- get a talent you can take anywhere, you can sing, dance, draw, write, talk, ect... resourcefulness, man, lest you be lost in the fall of the world's economies! ;) you can make things and sell it, babysit, so MANY little things. Honestly...
True richness is in our hearts, in our experiences, our learning! That is the true treasure of life, and perhaps that should be a focus....

unless you luck out and get in at the beginning of a successful start up that goes public, you need to have your own business to get rich. It would be a good idea to have something going on on the side just in case.
