because they do not get paid enough to stay alive longer. By this i mean they are really to smart for the darn movies. Ever notice how stupid they make the white people in these movies? For example the bad guy gets knocked out and what does the stupid white woman do???? Checks him not run away not get help. Nope she check him!!!! Hello how dumb can we be here people. It just seems like they know that a black person would never do that so they just don't even bother to portray them in that role. I was not meaning to be mean by the comment by any means at all, its just white people myself included can/are stupid sometimes with our curiosity

Because I think it's a racist message Hollywood continues to send to the Black american audience. Basically the Black characters are not viewed as "important" enough or as vital to the story as the so-called "heroic" white leading man or woman who inevitably survives everything from machetes to machine-guns, while a Black character just SNEEZES and they're dead. Seriously though, I definitely think Hollywood's trying to send Black folks a message here.
