to prove the point that shes around beautiful looking people all day long but shes the one who is truly beautiful. and its like, just cause you wear glasses, have frizzy hair and wear braces doesn't mean you're ugly.

Well she's basically the complete opposite of the others in her industry, so such people would consider her "ugly".
The point to us though, is that she is quite normal in a world of perfection, and the hilarity is found in her innocent attempt at combining the two.
We are meant to realize that she isn't ugly, that beauty is an outward perception in society, instead of inside like real people already know.

Well, I haven't seen that yet. But I think they got that from "Betty La Fea" (a Spanish? soap) and the main character had teeth braces, thick eyebrows, no make-up, laughed funny and was a shy girl. I guess in today's society that constitutes "ugly". I'm not saying I agree though.

her character is considered "ugly" and she was hired by the agency to work with boss because she would not be a distraction for him

That is the nickname that he co-workers gave her. Everyone at their office has a pet name and unfortunately she got the short end of the stick.

because everybody she works around is beautifull and that she is a little plain jane i dont think she needs anything i think she is beautifull just from her attitude. The way she see all of them needs to tell us something as well. good luck and god bless and happy thanksgiving.

she is not as attractive as the other people working in the media. i personally don't think she is ugly either.

I don't get it either, so I don't watch it! If you don't either, maybe they'll just take it off the air? Seems to be how it works. Just a thought.
