The reason you feel old is that you do not have anything else to do beside taking care of your child rite??? your home all day feeding, cleaning, bathing the child and do not get time for yourself that's where the problem is!!!
There are some women whom these things do not bother and some like yourself it does affect.... there are few things you can try to do and see how things go!!
If in your neighborhood there are stay home mothers ask them if they want to go out for a walk with the baby that way you get to socialize and take some fresh air and also you get your share of exercise done as well!!
Talk to your husband that you do need time for yourself as well once a week... like on the weekends if he can take care of the baby for a few hours and you go out with your friends... movies, shopping etc whatever you want!!
Another thing having a baby does not mean that your life has come to a hold... once a week go out with your husband like you guys were doing before the baby.... do things as you were doing before the baby came!!!
the only thing is that you will have to modify a few things that's all... not like put everything on hold and you spend 24/7 inside the house....
And if you know someone like either your mother or your mother in law... talk to them and see if they don't mind looking after the baby for a few hours while your guys are away... that way you know that the baby is in the right hands and you enjoy your evening!!!
Even more you can get a part time job only a few hours each day and during that time ask if either of your parents can take care of the baby!!!!
there is so many things you can do with the baby around and still feel young.... you just need to know what you want to do and how that's it!!! Baby is not a burden in life!! they are more like a gift but still life goes on!!

Well Kat, your still a very young woman. But your a Mother and that can take alot out of you. Being a Mom is the hardest job in the world. Let me just say from experience that you need to take care of you then you can take care of others. Do something for yourself once a week if your able too. I mean anything from getting a massage, pedicure, manicure, hair done, exercise class, something for just you and go alone to do without kid in tow. This is YOUR time! Or you may want to enroll in a class at a community college. Something that you would really enjoy. An art class or something else. Just keep reinventing yourself too. So you don't end up in a rut kind of feeling. Take Care now of you!

Sometimes when you hit age 25 you think wow i am no longer young and free. You are still young but you are now living in your future and you need to appreciate life as it is and enjoy each new day. You will get old much later in life. 40 is old now later on when you are 40 -50 will be old,. When you are 50 -65 will be old. when you are 65 -80 will be old when you are 80- you will have to be 110 before you will even consider being old. One day you will look back and laugh at yourself for feeling old at 25. I know that i laugh at myself.

Well l don't know why you feel 40. l'm in my forties , l'm a housewife with 3 kids and 6 grandchildren and l still feel like l'm 30. Age is just a state of mind as the saying goes" you are only as old as you feel". You need to get out more, do things that really interest you. Don't just sit home and mope ofcourse that will make you feel like an old housewife. Start doing things that make you feel young again ANYTHING that keeps you young at heart. Good luck

Age is a state of mind.
It sounds like as though you are not getting enough socialization with people you own age? Maybe that is because you stated that you are house wife and a mother. I could be completely wrong, but that might be the problem as to why you feel like your 40

Try to get out of the house and play outside with your child and enjoy good weather. Find new friends in a park. Do fun activities with your child. You don't get too many opportunities to play once you grow up, so color, draw, read silly stories and have fun while you can. Being a Mom is a big change in life. It can seem burdensome but it doesn't need to be. Eat well. Get enough rest and, again, have fun with your child.

Eat healthy foods and drink plenty of water. Exercise weekly and make time for yourself to relax. Think positive and loosen up. I wish I was your age again and I'm only 33. Take care of your body and your mind. Asking questions like this already shows that you have your mind in the right place. Good luck.
