Ignore them, maybe they are trying to get a rise out of you. Some people are like that. On the other hand, if you do nothing they are going to keep doing it. They sound like the inlaws frowm hell.

They might be going through some problems adjusting to the idea that they have a daughter-in-law (some parents can get really ugly to daughters/sons-in-law, it is mostly not because they are evil, some parents can't help feeling afraid that they will lose importance with their daughter/ son-- fear of getting replaced.)
It's pretty much like when your bestfriend has a new boyfriend and doesn't have half as much time for you as she used to, that feeling of being left out, some people are better at dealing with it than others. It's best to be friendly and patient; try to build a relationship with them, get to know them, that should help them get comfortable with the whole idea.
If however, they still continue to act like that, than that's just the way they choose to be, in that case, they don't deserve that you feel upset or that you even care.
No matter how bad they taunt, be friendly to them, because if they are really nasty, they would be happy if you got upset.

try to avoid them and still they dont stop then be bold to answer them on face as they have brought a daughter in law not a slave or servant. its your life and live it the way you like. but at the same time be sure that you are not wrong where ever you are taunted. all the best.

Why they taunt you??? For Dowry??? For your Dress???For Your Parents???? For your Carelessness????For your Kitty Parties??? For your T V soaps(specially those foolish saas bahu ones)??? For Your Marketing(spending)???? For your Friends???? For your Looks??? For your Job???? For your Sleeping habits (long hours of sleeping)??? For your Kids (say having daughter n no son)??? ETC ETC....!!! If these are few or all the reasons then forget it.... one day you will also be doing the same... OK....!!! MY MOTHER USED TO DO SAME WITH MY WIFE AND NOW MY WIFE IS DOING WITH MY DAUGHTER WHO IS GETTING MARRIED SOON. ALL MOTHERS ARE SAME EVERY WHERE. RATHER I SHOULD SAY ALL FEMALES ARE SAME EVERY WHERE AS MOTHER OR AS MOTHER IN LAW...!!!

hi dear it hurts but try to ignore them and act as if it doesnt effect u so they will stop as they feel good wen u r irritated but if u wont they will b irritated n stop best of luck with ur inlaws tc

Its just a mind game............

TRY AND IGNORE THEM AT FIRST. IF IT CONTINUES,THEN BE BOLD AND ANSWER BACK BECAUSE UNTIL AND UNLESS YOU SPEAK OUT YOUR MIND THEY WILL CONTINUE TO TAUNT YOU. MOREOVER, INDULGE IN WORK,READ BOOKS, WATCH T.V .-- DO SOMETHING TO KEEP YOU OCCUPIED AND YOUR MIND OFF YOUR IN-LAWS.WISH YOU LUCK!!

Just ignore them. Some people are just negative and don't feel good about themselves. Don't let them get you down.
