Martina Hingis had scored an impressive season on her 2nd phase of her tennis career. She's now ranked 7th in the world. She won 2 titles this year and qualified for the season-ending championships but failed to enter the semifinals after losing to eventual finalist, Amelie Mauresmo.

It's possible, since her comeback is impressive. For that to happen, she needs to improve her fitness and game, or hope there are quite a few upsets in the Slams for her to claw to the final. JHH and Clijsters would present the most formidable obstacles for her in terms of her trying to complete the Career Slam with a French Open title. She plays well in Australia, so that would be her most likely chance to win a Slam. At Wimbledon, she has to contend with Sharapova, Mauresmo, Henin-
Hardenne, the Williams sisters, and others. I don't fancy her chances there with the fast courts. The US Open could be another tough place for her to win with the competition, the atmosphere, and the surface.

she could have a chance, she did a big come back this year but there are a lot of in-form players out there at the moment, mauresmo, henin, sharapova and probably davenport if her back gets better. i think its davenports last year next year of player...i hope she makes a good year out of it. in the womens tennis prize money (all time), shes second place she needs only $700,000 more to at least tie.

I don't think she can handle the grind of a 2 week grand slam...thus my guess is no.
