If you are using file sharing, it must be turned off, or you must wait until it is no longer being downloaded from your computer, otherwise...If this will not remove from your computer, with ALL programing closed, it is due to a cookie of 1 type or another. Delete all cookies, all history. Search registry for name of file delete, IE: regedit/ edit/ find/name of file/find next. When it finds delete it, click edit/find next, until all are deleted and entire registry has been searched. Then do a computer search for file, and delete it from its Location!! It cannot be deleted from your computer through a media player.

If you are using a filesharing program like limewire, and it is running, it means someone is uploading the movie from you. Therefore, you are unable to delete it because a program is using it.
If you restart your computer and then try deleting it again, you should be able to do it.

For Windows, the name limit is for the entire directory structure above it. These files may have a long name and be very deep in the directory structure. Try creating a folder named "x" on your desktop, move the files into that folder, and then delete the folder.
