faster to put it in a bowl of hot water for a minute or two.

you don't put bm or formula in the microwave because it can create hot spots.. on drink will be warm and another scalding. You are not supposed to SHAKE bm because it can destroy some of the good antibodies in the milk... hence why you warm bm in warm water.
Tip: Store in small bags so that the defrost faster & you are less likely to defrost too much pumped milk (since you work so hard for every ounce) I did 2oz bags.
:) Good luck

There is nothing wrong with using the microwave... moms do it all the time, and they use it at the hospital where I had my baby.

Coffee pot might be faster, if its frozen milk. Just run a cycle of water through your coffee pot, then float the bottle in the pot. Works like a charm.
