The greatest thing I could and have given up for the benefit of someone else's life, is simple.. I gave up selfishness to help them... When I do this, It's the best feeling in the world, no problems for you, and no limitations blocking you from benefiting someone else..

I heard about the plight of the orphans in Romania about 7 years ago, being a widow I couldn't afford much, but I wrote some poetry postcards had them printed and sold them at concerts and through a newspaper, the response was overwhelming, The money raised helped rehouse the orphans and the old orphanage was demolished, I felf very humble, my own children wanted for nothing as likewise my grandchildren, but the fact I helped the poor and very needy orphans, changed my life........for the better.

I've made a lot of sacrifices for my children and made there life better.
When you give of yourself,do good things,do the right thing there is joy to be found in it.Sometimes you may have to look hard for it.With kids it's easy to find. With sick parents it may be harder to find,I bet you can find it.You have to make the best of every situation.
One other thing. One of my parents died after a long illness. It was a lot easier for me to accept than for others in my family because I used the sedona method to accept it before he died.
If you get rid of the fear of loosing something you can enjoy it more. This applies to people too.

I once gave all my the money in my pocket and it turned out to be a lot to a crazy homeless. Unfortunately he hugged me but I was pleased because it made him super happy and it gave him hope that there are still humans in this world.

I quit smoking after 30 years, it was mainly for myself and children. I could not continue to smoke and profess to be a Christan, so I quit cold turkey, it will be 5 years in May and I couldn't be happier.
