If you're right handed your left ear hears better so it's good that you use that ear. But if you are left handed and using your left ear you're just use to using your dominant hand for everything. Or you could be a person that uses both hands for different things. I'm right-handed but when it comes to certain tasks I like to use my left-hand. Some people are like that.

haha! that is quite funny, but it has a grain of truth!!

scientists say that women can hear equally well in both ears, so for example if two sounds were played in head phones in their ears they would hear both equally well, but men hear in eithe rone or the other of the ears! they couldn't repeat to you different things that were said in both ears at the same time - without training of course...)

i know that i hear better on the left ear than my right: maybe it's te same for you but i can't recall which ear the report I read said that most men favoured.

we should do an experiment & find out!

Of course not. Sometimes its just natural that we answer with our left ear. Being left-handed may also contribute coz our left ear is near our left hand.

No, just means that it would be slightly awkward to hold the phone to your right ear with your left hand.

Is there such a thing as left-eared?

You might just have better hearing in that hear. If you were left-handed it wouldn't be exclusive to cell phone usage.
