LOL - if it's not, it d**n well should be:))
20 years ago I would.ve suggested it applies only to a slither of Tory MP's, but nowadays I reckon it applies to ALL of 'em.
Thanks for that, much appreciated - and I too am gonna try and slip it in here and there.

The noun for a group of politicians is a "deception". "Slither" is just one of many descriptions of their actions.

Technically, as far as I can tell, they do not have a collective noun. but as they are all lawyers, who's collective noun is a huddle, this may be used.
however, since they are so divided, it not as good as 'slither'
other collective nouns you could use are a 'thicket', the collective noun for a group of idiots, or perhaps 'shuffle' the collective noun for bureaucrats.

No my friend you are confusing "Slither" in that particular context , with the description = "A Pile of S H I T " , much more accurate.

It isn't at the moment but it should be...if enough people use it it goes in the dictionary! Words like Bling and Minger have been added to recent editions:)

Politics = "Poli" in Latin means "many" and "tics" means "blood-sucking creatures"...
So slither would certainly fit .

A 'Pride' perhaps but sadly there are no lions among them. A 'Pack' as in jackals might be a better description.
