If they haven't that would be a good thing to research.
I don't think it would give you the outcome you might be thinking of though. Maybe other disorders.

My aunt is bipolar and is not particularly interested in ghosts, aliens or anything like that. She is slightly excessively religious, but that's all.

My brother is mildly autistic (not really a traditional mood disorder) and he used to have a strong interest in UFOs when he was little but has made no claims of seeing any, or any ghosts, and no longer seems to be very obsessed with them.

I am also mildly schizoaffective (and very obsessive compulsive) but do not suffer from hallucinations. I assume that one who did would likely include aliens or ghosts or goblins (whatever) although I haven't heard of most people expiriencing this.

I am extremely irrational though at times and half to self-council myself to look at things logically, although sometimes I allow some delusions (typically involving ghosts) to stay unanalyzed. I think my interest in science has actually helped me to not be more delusional than I am.

I think there is. My psychiatrist diagnosed schizo-affective disorders, he is an atheist, so is my generalist. I am a believer, do not attend churches, temples. Still I believe in angels and of course there is the reason why they call me schizo... fact is that there is a kind of communication, and I could say this is my conscious. But... if the voice suggests to take a way in place of an other, with my car, and I do learn later, there was an accident, that's weird, isn't it? Especially if it happens all the time.
So, what I think is that some call the same thing with different names.
In spirituality, you search answers from a different angle than in science. However, in physics and astrophysics, the researchers are coming with very strange answers too. No need to say, they are often disagreeing with each other...

I recall reading that there was a connection between poltergeist activity and mental or emotional disorders of someone in the affected home.
