I'm sure we all have seen those waxy yellow/brown specs on our cars which you usually have to rub extra to get them off. I call them "Bee poop", but I know its to big for bug poop! I've seen it in New York, Chicago, Orlando, Los Angeels, its all over! What is it??

I'm fairly certain it's tree sap.

We're talking about the ones that dry to a cement like hardened crust, right? Ranging in size from a tiny dot to something about the size of a quarter?

I've parked under a conifer for a few years now and I find they are common. If you smell them while they're fresh, they're overpoweringly piney smelling.
