The best way to do this is finding the contact us link on the website and asking directly. There are websites like whois.com that can provide you with the information but remember this information is not always accurate because it is what the person posted when he bought the domain and a domain and the website are not always the same. A domain can be from a specific person and place but the website can be a totally different person and address. If you are worried about a website being fake then try using the phishing filter on Internet explorer(available in the latest version of Internet explorer). If you are worried you have just been scammed through a website then contact the FBI website and follow the process to report this incident.

Go to http://www.dnsstuff.com In the DOMAIN NAME TESTS table, go to WHOIS LOOKUP. Type the web address there and then click go.
