try giving him a little bit of chamomille tea in between feedings, also check the type of bottle you are using, some lets more air in than others. you can actually see it while he is feeding, larger and faster bubbles. good luck
maybe all you need is to change the bottle, chamomille tea can't hurt as it also calms baby.
p.s.you can add just a little sugar.

NOT PEPTO BISMOL! Geeze...4 months old..not a good idea.
You can try holding the baby face down on your thighs as you sit in a chair with the baby's head toward your knees. You gently rub circles on the baby's back like a massage with one hand while you support their head with the other and sometimes it helps the jiggle the baby a little bit in rhythm with your legs. Some babies are soothed by this, and some of them just get more ticked off. I hope it works. Good luck.
***********
I forgot, did anyone tell you that even if you get good bottles when the baby is born, the nipples wear out (about now) and need to be replaced because the start to let in too much air? Get the nipples at any Wallyworld or grocery store.

you just got to love all the smart a-- comments for a serious question! sometimes if you will lay them on their back and hold on to their feet and move their legs like they are riding a bike. also try holding him with his stomach on your arm his butt on your hip and walk and bounce. Hope this helps. Oh by the way a little more Mylicon then what the bottle says will not hurt him!

there are some homeopathic remedies at health food stores. you can also try rubbing his back, from the lower back up to the shoulders, as in pushing the air from the bottom of the body up...it usually works. if you're bottle feeding, you may need to try using a different type of nipple so he can't gulp air while sucking. camomile tea or elderberry tea might also be helpful...do not sweeten it. and don't ever give an infant under 1 yr old honey...it causes botulism which can be fatal.

Have you tried burping him like every 2 ounces? I also would put pressure on her tummy by pushing her legs into her tummy. You could also try massaging her tummy. I also used Ventaire bottles with holes at the bottom that allowed more in the bottle to get out. Lastly you could ask your pedi about changing formula. I did all of the above and it helped.

There is something call Humphries or Humphrys tablets for babies- and I have heard by a daycare worker that if you burp them really well it will help- and give them a little push below the belly button that will help=D

I have heard so many people talk about Gripe water. My aunt swears by it for her boys they had the same problem. My boys never needed this but if you want to give it a try I know they have it at CVS and it's not very expensive

OVOL worked wonders for my 11 week old !! You have to give it to your baby right after feeding. It helps break up the milk molecules so it's easier for them to digest the milk. That was the only thing that helped!!
