I had a similar situation. This Y!A account originally belonged to my brother and then we shared it until I took over completely. However, people would read his prior ex-girlfriend questions and male POV answers and in turn inquire whether I was male, female, lesbian or bisexual. All that has ceased now that his posts are so far back.
Regarding yourself, I didn’t think much about your gender, but in reading a few of your questions and answers, I understood that your partner is in Egypt. I too was separated from my partner for a year while he lived in Israel—I felt for you.
I also saw your question about ADORE. I am non-traditional when it comes to love and there is something so striking about that word that just clicks for me. I don’t even want to dissect it; I’ll simply leave it at that.
So coupling a shared experience of partners abroad and our high melting point for ADORE, I wanted to send you an MP3 of--I Adore You by Caron Wheeler. It is not a popular song, but one I thought you would enjoy, until…
I absolutely enjoy answering your questions. I find them thought provoking, nostalgic, thankful, therapeutic, entertaining, challenging, funny and refreshing—as you the asker. However, my email was not an attempt to hit on you and I apologize if my aloofness implied such.

Maybe you shouldn't have a Nicholas Cage avatar, that's like saying you are a man. It's a bit misleading. Ususally people make there avatars a personal reflection. But thanks for the clerification. :0 I feel stupid now, I do have a crush on Nicholas Cage! LOL

"I know" that you are a girl.... that's kind of funny, but I had the same problem with some of my other avatars so I had to post on my profile page that I was a girl! lol
Still.... why would people be hitting on people on Answers? Makes you wonder, don't it?? Especially, since we know that you are definitely NOT Nicholas Cage! My sympathies...

Guess people make assumptions on here based on avatars. I haven't read your questions or answers to determine for myself whether you were a male or female because it doesn't really matter, or does it? As long as you are having a good time here isn't that all that matters?

I did not know that. I have been told that I look like Nicholas Cage. But I don't see it.

I don't look at avatars unless they catch my eye, but even if I see an avatar, I don't think about them. I sure hope our avatars weren't supposed to reflect us, or I turned into a baby Loris!

Consider that a lesson learned. The internet is a foul, disgusting place filled with perverts and sickos. Having a sex icon as your avitar brings the horn-dog out of seemingly decent people, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. That's why my avitar looks like Butthead.

Nothing better than clear sex, I say.
If you don't like being hit on by girls, why do you want to hit on Nicolas Cage, whoever he is.
Why not put up a decent picture of yourself. Are you ugly or something?
