i have a '06 ninja 650. not really the sportiest bike, but my friend bought a zx10 the day after i bought mine. i love his bike. it's well balanced and quick as hell. i had no problem standing his bike up. its ur choice. as long as it has 2 wheels, it doesn't really matter. good luck and be safe.

I ride a Suzuki GS500F. Definitely not the fastest sport bike out there (it's the second slowest on the market, in fact), but it's a lot of fun to ride anyway.
