It depends on the species. Some palms are hardy to the mid- or lower teens while others may suffer in the lower 30s.

Find out what species it is, then do an internet search or call a local nursery or cooperative extension.

I have a pygmy date palm in a pot and I don't plan to bring it in at all. It typically gets into the upper 20s and lower 30s here.

To be on the safe side, bring it in before nights drop below freezing.
