OK. someone told me that ever famous line- ACT YOUR AGE.
what i dont understand is... if i am my age, which i most deffinatly am, how could i not "act" my age. wouldnt anything i do be something a person my age WOULD do....? because i'm sitting here doing it! a person my age would do anything that anybody my age is doing or ever has done. so i think that that expression is not logical. am i wrong? only LOGICAL answers will be acceptable.

really a very illogical expresssion....... yeah if we will try to act our age it means we are just acting and not trying to be ourselves............ i will say BE YOURSELF............ no matter whats your age, sex, religion, caste, creed, nationality, colour, society...................

just because you are doing something doesnt mean that another person your age would be doing it too. I do see what you are trying to say tho I think. The whole problem with telling someone to act thier age doesnt really make sence because since everyone is different and thinks different so what might be normal for a certain age for one person would not be normal for someone else. Those who stress on the clock on the wall and are always counting the time and years usually dont live to see to very many years. A person should act like themselves and how ever they feel and not have to follow some guide line

I find it illogical because I never do it. Why would I want to act my age? I am almost 40! If I were to act my age then I would a stuffy, mature adult. I want to act like me. A very outgoing, crazy, happy person. Living one day at a time. I think that I stopped living my age at 18. I feel as though that is where my mentality is now. I don't feel or act like a 40 yr old. Therefore, I cannot act my age.I can be mature when I need to be or an adult, but why put all that pressure on yourself. All people are different and mature at different speeds. There is no "act" for a particular "age". Just what we see around us. Just our observations. I will never act my age!

Well, it depends on ho old are you and what you are doing. For example if you are 14 years old and you are drinking, smoking, having sex and talking like a sailor, then you are not acting your age. Or if you are like my boyfriend and at the age of 35 still don't realize that you can't spend all your weekend in front of TV watching football and ignoring everyone else, then you are not acting your age. Or if you are 50-60 years old and you are dating a 20 year old, then you are not acting your age either.
